Credits
How many credits each listing gets a month, what each action costs, where to see your balance, and what happens when it runs out.
Credits pay for searching Google Maps for a business, adding a listing, and scanning the map. Each listing has its own monthly allowance.
#The monthly allowance
Every listing gets 1,500 credits a calendar month. The number is the same on every plan that includes Maps. Plans differ in how many listings you can have, not in what each one can spend.
- Credits belong to one listing. They cannot be moved to another listing.
- The allowance resets at the start of each calendar month. Unused credits do not carry over.
- The limit comes from the plan of the account that owns the project. A teammate who scans your listing spends your listing's credits.
- The month's count follows the Google listing itself. Removing a listing and adding it again does not refill it.
#What each action costs
A search below is one question to Google Maps: one keyword at one point of a grid.
| Action | Credits | Taken from |
|---|---|---|
| Map scan from the Scan campaign button, or the first scan in setup | 2 per search | The listing |
| Scheduled map scan | 1 per search | The listing |
| Monthly auto report with a map scan | 1 per search | The listing |
| Searching Google Maps for a business to add | 4 per search, charged when a listing is added | The listing you add |
| Adding a listing (reading its profile) | 9 | The listing you add |
| Rank Checker: finding a business | 4 per search | Pooled, all your listings |
| Rank Checker: Check rank (5 × 5 grid, one keyword) | 50 | Pooled, all your listings |
| Client Acquisition: Check a lead (5 × 5 grid, one keyword) | 50 | Pooled, all your listings |
| Client Acquisition: Discover (a business list plus a 5 × 5 grid) | 60 | Pooled, all your listings |
A map scan costs grid points × keywords × the rate. For example:
| Scan | Searches | Scan button | Scheduled |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5 × 5 grid, 3 keywords | 75 | 150 credits | 75 credits |
| 5 × 5 grid, 10 keywords | 250 | 500 credits | 250 credits |
| 7 × 7 grid, 10 keywords | 490 | 980 credits | 490 credits |
The Discover business list is 10 credits. The 5 × 5 grid is the other 50.
#Scan button or schedule
A scheduled scan costs half as much as one you start with the Scan campaign button. See Map Rank Tracker.
#Searches for a new listing
Searching for a business is charged only when a listing is added. The charge is 4 credits for every search run in the project since the last listing was added, plus 9 for the profile. Three searches and an add cost 21 credits. Searches that never end in an add are not charged. See Add a listing.
#What does not use credits
- Reading reviews.
- Drafting review replies and posts.
- The GBP Optimization report.
- Reports made from data DigitPeak already holds.
- Local Schema Builder and Website Builder.
#See your balance
#In Maps
- Dashboard: the Credits badge beside Add new location shows the credits left this month across the project's listings. With more than one listing, hover it to see each listing's own balance.
- Map Rank Tracker: the same badge at the top of the list. Inside a campaign, the badge shows that listing's balance.
- Run a scan dialog: shows the scan's cost and how many of the listing's 1,500 credits are left.
- Client Acquisition and Rank Checker: show the credits left this month across all your listings, in every project.
#On the Account page
Click your avatar in the top bar to open the Account page.
- Subscription, Maps tab: the credits each listing gets a month, the credits used this month, and a table of every listing with Used and Left.
- Query log, under Logs: every search that used credits.
- Searches tab: when, what, which listing, who, and the credits. Filter by kind: Map scan, Scheduled scan, Rank check, Discover, Business search and Listing added.
- By listing tab: the searches and credits per listing. Rank Checker and Client Acquisition show as Not a listing (Rank Checker, Client Acquisition), under the project whose listing paid.
Adding a listing shows as one Listing added row that covers both the searches that found it and the profile read. Business search rows are Rank Checker searches. Scans that ran on a schedule show Automatic under By.
#When credits run out
- A scan runs only if the listing has enough credits left for all of it. If not, nothing is charged, and you see, for example, "This scan needs 200 credits and 150 are left this month."
- A scan is never made smaller to fit.
- A scheduled scan that does not fit is skipped, and the schedule moves on to its next date.
Adding a listing is never refused for credits.
When credits run out, you can still read reviews, draft replies and posts, and use every page that does not scan. Scans run again when the allowance resets at the start of next month.
Costs credits: a scan is charged when it starts. Closing the page does not stop or refund it.
#Pooled credits for Client Acquisition and Rank Checker
Client Acquisition and Rank Checker spend from the credits all your listings have left, in every project you own, added together. Two listings in one project and one in another have up to 4,500 to draw on.
- A pooled action runs only if the listings' combined credits cover the whole cost. Otherwise you see, for example, "This scan needs 50 credits and your listings have 30 left this month."
- The cost is taken from the listing with the most credits left, then the next, in any project. Each charge shows on the listing that paid it.
- Teammates who prospect on your projects spend your listings' credits, the account owner's.
- With no listing in any project, neither tool can run: "Add a listing first. Prospect scans use your listings' monthly credits."
- Rank Checker searches do not count towards the ten-searches-a-month limit for adding listings.
