DigitPeak Maps overview

What DigitPeak Maps does, how projects and listings fit together, and what each tool in the Maps menu is for.

DigitPeak Maps looks after Google Business Profile listings. It tracks where a business ranks on Google Maps, reads its reviews and drafts replies, grades the profile, and drafts posts for you to publish. Open it with Maps in the rail on the left of the screen.

Replies and posts are drafted in DigitPeak, and you publish them in Google Business Profile. On a listing connected to its Google Business Profile, a reply draft also has Send to Google.

#Projects and listings

Everything in Maps runs inside a project. A project holds one or more listings. A listing is one Google Business Profile, which DigitPeak reads from Google Maps.

A dental group with three clinics is one project with three listings. An agency with ten clients usually has ten projects.

  • Overview, Client Acquisition and Rank Checker sit at the top of the Maps menu and work before you pick a project. They cover your whole account, so they show the same thing whichever project is open.
  • Pick a project from the menu at the top of the Maps sidebar to see the rest of the menu. Those pages work on that project.
  • To start a new one, open the same menu and choose New project.
  • Each project can hold up to 50 listings. An account can hold up to 100 listings across all its projects.

When you open a listing on one page and then move to another page, the same listing stays open. Going back to the list closes it on every page.

Owners and Editors sometimes see a short reminder at the top of a Maps page: one open task, such as a listing with no website yet, with a button that goes straight to it.

To add your first listing, see Add a listing. Setup starts straight after, see Setup wizard.

#The Maps menu

#Your account

  • Overview: every listing from every project on one page, with its GBP Health, rank, reviews and tasks left.
  • Client Acquisition: type a keyword and a city to find local businesses with the most room to grow on Google Maps, and track them as leads. Everyone on your projects shares the list.
  • Rank Checker: find any business on Google Maps and see where it shows for a keyword across the area around it.

#Dashboard

  • Dashboard: every listing in the project on one screen, with its GBP score, reviews, directories, keywords and posts. This is also where you add listings and where setup runs.

#Local presence

  • Listing Management: every directory beside your website and your Google listing, and which of them disagree.
  • Review Management: the listing's reviews, and the reply drafts waiting for you.
  • GBP Optimization: a graded report on the Google profile, with what to fix and where to fix it in Google Business Profile.
  • GBP Tasks: a few tasks for each listing at a time, with new ones every few days. The month's regular work comes first, then fixes from GBP Optimization.

#Automation

  • Orion AI Agent: the agent that learns the business and writes Google posts on a schedule. How replies are written is on AI Replies.
  • Post Drafts: every post the agent has written and not yet used, across all your projects.

#Rankings

  • Map Rank Tracker: where the listing ranks on Google Maps from every point of a grid around it, for each keyword, over time. What the figures mean is on Heatmap metrics.

#Website

  • Website Builder: a website for the listing, built from what DigitPeak already holds about it.
  • Local Schema Builder: LocalBusiness structured data for your website, written from Google's copy of the listing.

#Activity

  • Reports: reports on a listing's rankings, reviews and posts, to print as PDF or share by link.
  • History: who did what in the project, and when. Actions that ran on a schedule show On the schedule.
  • People: who can see and work on the project. Only the project's Owner can see and change the list.

#How credits fit in

Anything that asks Google Maps a fresh question costs credits: searching for a business, adding a listing, and scanning the map. Each listing gets its own monthly allowance, and a scan that does not fit in what is left does not run.

Reading reviews, drafting replies and posts, and the GBP Optimization report do not use credits.

Client Acquisition and Rank Checker spend from the credits of all your listings together. See Pooled credits.

Costs, balances and the monthly reset are all on Credits.

#Who can do what

Each project has an Owner, and can have Editors and Viewers.

  • Owners and Editors can add listings, run setup, scan and change settings.
  • Viewers can read the pages but cannot change anything.
  • Only the Owner can delete a listing or manage who is on the project.

Credits always come from the plan of the account that owns the project, whoever clicks the button. See People and roles.
