Setup wizard
Walk through the setup that opens after you add a listing, and know what each step changes and what it costs.
Setup opens on the Dashboard as soon as a listing is added. It teaches the Orion AI Agent about the business, picks the keywords, sets up review replies, starts the map and turns on posts, one screen at a time. Only the first map scan costs credits, and you can skip it.
#Before you begin
- Add a listing first. See Add a listing.
- You need the Owner or Editor role on the project.
#The steps
A bar at the top shows how far through you are. ← Back returns to the previous screen. On the first screen the same button reads ← Cancel. Straight after adding, Cancel there removes the listing if you are the Owner, and the credits charged for adding it are not returned. See Add a listing.
| Step | Screen title | Optional | Uses credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Connect Google | Connect your Google Business Profile | Yes | No |
| Learn | Here is what DigitPeak learned | Can be skipped if reading fails | No |
| Keywords and map | Choose your keywords | The scan is optional | The scan, if you run it |
| Replies | AI Replies | The switch can stay off | No |
| Posts | Post consistently with the AI Agent | Yes | No |
| Done | (business name) is set up | No |
#Connect your Google Business Profile
Sign in with the Google account that manages the listing. Only the Business Profile permission is asked for, and you can revoke it at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Click Sign in with Google to connect, or Set this up later to go on without it.
- Once signed in, the screen shows Signed in with the account, and Continue.
#Learn about the business
The screen shows Learning about the business, then Here is what DigitPeak learned with the listing's facts from Google (name, categories, address, phone, website, hours, price band, rating) and five boxes you can correct:
- Business description: the paragraph somebody at the front desk would say.
- What you offer: one service or product per line. A dash adds a note.
- Worth mentioning: facts a post may state. Only put true things here, because the agent will say them.
- Never mention: a standing rule, such as prices or a branch that has closed.
- Words their customers use: taken from the Google reviews.
Correct anything that is wrong and click Continue. The agent writes posts from this. You can change it later on the Orion AI Agent page.
If reading fails, the screen says DigitPeak could not read the business, with Try again and Skip for now.
#Choose your keywords
See Choosing keywords for what makes a good one.
- Type a keyword in the In this campaign box and press Enter. Add as many as you need, up to 50.
- Optionally pick from Worth considering.
- Set the map for the first scan. These are the same controls as the campaign's Edit page:
- Grid size: 3 × 3 (9 pins), 5 × 5 (25 pins) or 7 × 7 (49 pins). A new listing starts on 5 × 5.
- Radius: how far out from the centre the grid reaches, from 0.2 to 50 km.
- Units: km or mi.
- The map: drag the middle pin to move the grid, up to 50 km from the listing. Put the centre back on the business undoes it.
- Read the cost line under the map. It says how many credits the scan uses and how long it takes.
- Click Run the first scan, or Skip for now.
Run the first scan saves the keywords, grid, radius and centre to the listing's Map Rank Tracker campaign and starts the scan. The screen then says Your map is being scanned. Click Continue and carry on.
Skip for now runs no scan and uses no credits. The keywords and the map you set are still saved to the campaign, ready for its first scan. Setup sets no scan schedule: every campaign starts on Manually. Set a schedule in Map Rank Tracker.
Either way, the GBP Optimization report grades the profile against the keywords you chose, and they are carried into the reply and post steps that follow.
Costs credits: the first scan uses credits from the listing's monthly allowance: grid points × keywords × 2. A 5 × 5 grid with 4 keywords is 25 × 4 × 2 = 200 credits. The scan runs only if the listing has that many credits left. See Credits.
#AI Replies
Replies are drafted in the business's voice for you to post. This screen holds the same settings as Review Management, and each change saves as you make it.
- Reply to new reviews of four stars and up: the switch that turns drafting on. It starts off.
- Tone, Language, Keywords, Sign-off, Emoji and Greet by name: how the replies are written. The keywords you chose on the previous step are added to Keywords for you, and you can remove any of them.
- What it writes: sample replies from the current settings. Click Refresh for new ones.
Click Continue when you are done. Each setting is explained on AI Replies.
#Post consistently with the AI Agent
The agent writes a post on a schedule. You check it, then copy it onto your Google profile.
- Click Enable weekly posting to turn posting on. A listing whose agent was already set to post more often shows that frequency on the button instead.
- Click Skip to leave posting as it is. For a new listing, that is off.
Posting cannot be switched on until the agent has keywords.
You can change the frequency any time on the Orion AI Agent page. Posts are drafts; see Post Drafts.
#The done screen
The last screen says the business is set up and lists what DigitPeak does for it from now on, one line each, including the things that are not switched on. For example:
- Knows the business description and how many services.
- Grades the profile against the number of keywords you chose, or No audit keywords yet. Add them on GBP Optimization.
- Drafts replies to new 4–5 star reviews, with the tone and language, or Does not draft review replies.
- Scanning the map for the number of keywords, or The map has not been scanned yet.
- Writes a post at the chosen frequency for you to publish on Google, or Does not post updates.
Anything the agent should know? is an optional box, up to 600 characters, for things like services to push or things never to say.
Click Continue to save and close setup. The post schedule and the note to the agent are saved only then: if you leave setup before the done screen, posting stays off, even if you clicked Enable weekly posting. The keywords you chose are added to the agent's post keywords, and nothing already there is removed.
#Run setup again
- On the Dashboard, click the gear on the listing's card, then Settings.
- Under Setup, click Run setup again.
Setup opens with the same steps. Cancel on the first screen only closes it; the listing stays.
To change only the agent's replies and posts, open Orion AI Agent, then Set up agent or Change settings on the listing. That shorter version has the replies and posts steps and the done screen.
