People and roles
Invite people to a project, choose what each person can do, and see who did what and which searches spent credits.
Everyone who works in DigitPeak signs in with their own account. You give a person access to a project and choose a role: Editor to do the work, or Viewer to look. The History page shows what was done on the project and by whom. The Query log on your Account page shows every search that spent credits.
#Roles
Access is to a whole project. A person on a project sees every listing in it, and its site audits too. You cannot give someone access to a single listing.
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything. Only the Owner can invite and remove people, delete a listing, delete a Map Rank Tracker campaign, and delete the project. |
| Editor | Everything else: add listings, run scans, draft replies and posts, change settings, and make and share reports. |
| Viewer | Open every page, read everything, and download report PDFs. A Viewer cannot change or start anything. |
Work an Editor starts is charged to the Owner. The Owner's plan limits apply, and map scans come out of each listing's credits. See Credits.
#Client Acquisition and Rank Checker
These two belong to the Owner's account, not to one project. Everyone on any of the Owner's projects sees the same leads and checks, with the same statuses and comments.
- An Owner or Editor on any of those projects can discover, check, mark leads, and rename, archive or delete searches.
- Someone who is only a Viewer can look.
- The credits come from the Owner's listings.
Someone on projects of more than one Owner picks whose list to see from the menu at the top of the page.
#What a Viewer cannot do
A Viewer does not see the buttons that change things. Examples are Add new location, Scan campaign, Create report now, Link and Delete on reports, and Copy text and Mark as posted on Post Drafts. Switches and fields show, but cannot be changed. Anything else a Viewer tries to change is refused with: "You have view-only access to this project. Ask the owner to make you an editor if you need to run audits or change settings."
An Editor who tries an Owner-only action is told that only the project's Owner can do it.
#Before you begin
Only the Owner can invite people. Each person you invite uses a seat. A seat is one person, however many of your projects they are on. An invitation that has not been accepted holds its seat until it expires. With no free seat, an invitation is refused. Your seats show under Account, in Subscription and User management.
#Invite someone
- Open People in the menu.
- Click Invite someone.
- Type the address under Their email.
- Under What they can do, pick Editor or Viewer.
- Click Send invitation.
DigitPeak emails them a link. The person appears in the list with Invitation pending until they accept.
You can also invite from a listing: open the listing's settings menu and choose Share. The dialog names the listing you started from, but the access is still to the whole project. Or invite from Account › User management › Invite, where you also pick the project.
#Accept an invitation
An invitation is good for 14 days. The invited person accepts it in one of these ways:
- Open the link in the email and click Join the project. Without an DigitPeak account, choose Create account and join. With one, choose Sign in and join.
- With an account already, click the notifications bell in DigitPeak, or open Account › Notifications, and click Accept.
They must sign in with the address the invitation was sent to. An invitation opened while signed in as someone else is refused, and the page says which address to use. Access starts when they accept.
#Change someone's role
Invite the same address again with the new role. For someone who has already joined, the role changes at once and no email is sent. For an invitation not yet accepted, a new link is sent and the earlier link stops working.
#Remove someone
- Open People.
- Click Remove beside the person, or Withdraw for an invitation not yet accepted.
They lose access to the project at once, and their seat is free again. What they did stays in History.
Only the Owner can open the People page. Anyone else sees "Only the owner can see and change who is on a project."
#History
History lists what was done on this project, newest first. Everyone on the project can open it.
Each row shows When, What and Who. Who is the person's name, On the schedule for work DigitPeak did by itself, or A removed member for someone no longer on the project.
What is recorded:
- Things people chose to do. For example: adding or removing a business, starting a scan, changing a scan schedule, deleting a campaign, reading reviews, drafting, editing or discarding replies, marking a directory listing by hand, editing the business information, setting up the Orion AI Agent, saving the website, making a report by hand, and sharing a report.
- Scheduled work that spends, such as a scheduled map scan, including the scan before a monthly auto report.
To narrow the list, use Page (such as Map Rank Tracker or Review Management), Business and Person. Business shows only when the project has more than one business, and Person only when more than one person has done something. Click Show more to load older rows.
History keeps the latest 5,000 actions for each project. When it is full, the oldest are removed first.

#Query log
The Query log lists every search that spent credits, newest first, across the projects you are on. A teammate sees only the projects they are on. At the top are Credits this month and Entries logged, the number of charges in the log (a whole scan is one entry).
The Searches tab shows When, What, Listing, By and Credits for each entry. What names the kind of search and the keywords or words searched. Use the chips to show one kind:
| Kind | What it is |
|---|---|
| Map scan | A Map Rank Tracker scan started by a person. |
| Scheduled scan | A scan run on a schedule, including the scan before a monthly auto report. |
| Rank check | A search in Rank Checker. |
| Discover | A search in Client Acquisition. |
| Business search | A search for a business to add. |
| Listing added | Adding a listing, which reads its Google profile. |
By is the person's name, Automatic for work DigitPeak did by itself, or "Someone no longer on the project".
The By listing tab adds up searches and credits for each listing, with the most credits first. Rank Checker and Client Acquisition searches are grouped as "Not a listing (Rank Checker, Client Acquisition)", under the project whose listing paid. A teammate's searches there are charged to the Owner's listings.
The page shows the latest 500 entries.
#Activity log
The Activity log shows the same kind of actions as History, but across all your projects. Timeline lists them. By person counts them for each person.
